Overview

A Brand Meme (also called an “Essence”) is the single, big idea that sits at the heart of our brand; the creative platform that underpins everything we do. It should be both distinctive and didactic. Distinctive because it helps us stand out, and didactic because the best “big ideas”, much like memes, are the ones that generate more ideas.

In Concert

Our brand meme is “In Concert”.

We believe that if factories are going to be ready for the future, automation can’t remain fragmented. Systems need to work, respond, and scale together.

This will require a level of co-ordination and co-operation that goes far beyond simple integration. We believe the factories of the future will be orchestrated to work In Concert.

Manifesto

“One robot can run 24/7. One robot can perform a task. One robot can complete a mission. One robot can take you a long way.

But when one becomes many, systems struggle to scale. Factories can tumble out of tune. What was once coordinated becomes a cacophony of chaos.

What if you could add capability without losing coherence? What if every part played together? What if everything was automated, validated, integrated and orchestrated?

Setting the rhythm. Conducting every movement. Commanding coordination between hardware and software.

The Idealworks Orchestration System listens and responds. Decides and acts. And above all, keeps everything In Concert.”

Prior Information

Why this exists

Idealworks was born on the harshest stage, the factory floor of BMW. With a new investor (AGILE) and a bigger market to enter (North Amercia) we worked to articulate what we do across hardware, software, simulation and synchronicity. The result of that work is housed within this ToolKit and stems from the big idea (meme): In Concert.
